Join the FlexTecs Team
Contract Compliance Senior Auditor
Available Positions: 1
Remote | Full-Time
The founders of FlexTecs believed there was a better way to recover lost profits, improve payment accuracy, and drive error prevention… and they set out to build it.
FlexTecs is a technology-enabled financial services firm that businesses turn to when they want to mitigate financial risk, reduce leakage in the vendor income management and payables process, and grow profitability by reducing operational errors.
Since 2011, we’ve helped enterprises connect what’s disconnected through lean, effective, innovative, flexible technology solutions. Whether that means addressing the shortcomings of the recovery audit industry through disruptive innovation, designing technology solutions to empower our clients, or giving back to our global community.
About FlexTecs
FlexTecs is growing our Global Contract Compliance Team and seeking to connect with candidates about this excellent opportunity.
The ideal candidate would have Contract Compliance audit experience and have experience leading efforts to coordinate audit activities between clients, vendors, and an audit team. We’re looking for a candidate who is eager to learn in a hands-on environment (which we think is more fun anyway) with a team that’s dedicated to their growth and success.
The contracts we review cover Construction, Logistics, Manufacturing, Marketing Services, Employment Services, IT, and much more. At the heart of this role is the management of audit activities, which include assessing contracts for risk, reviewing invoices for compliance to contractual provisions, substantively supporting variances in workpapers and well-constructed audit reports, and supporting our client’s efforts to recover overpayments and prevent future leakage.
About the Role
The ideal candidate must have:
Contract Compliance Audit Experience
Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to speak and write English in a clear, concise and persuasive manner
Excellent data skills, ability to manipulate and analyze large quantities of data (usually Excel/Access/IDEA)
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Thorough ability to assess contract terms and conditions to identify and document potential risks for billing errors, or other forms of financial leakage
Ability to effectively walk through a vendor’s billing procedures and systems to identify reports, data, and supporting documentation that can be leveraged to complete substantive audit testing
Ability to QC the work of team members and provide timely and constructive feedback on performance
Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor others while also maintaining consistent progress of various projects
Attention to detail but able to consider the bigger picture as well
The ideal candidate would have:
Work experience in procurement, finance, legal, or related business organizations
Experience reviewing contracts from a broad range of industries and spend categories (e.g. construction, marketing, IT, manufacturing, logistics, BPO, etc…)
Knowledge of internal processes and functionalities of organizations in the industries we serve
Certifications as a CPA or CFE, experience as a forensic accountant, litigation support, and/or extensive experience in data analysis
