About the Role

We are seeking an experienced auditor with an understanding of Contract Compliance. Well-qualified candidates will have perspective on contracting standards across a wide variety of expense spend categories and experience delivering audit services to help clients recover overpayments resulting from a wide variety of billing errors. This role requires a professional with truly exceptional communication skills, advanced data analysis experience, and excellent project management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead client audit programs, guiding the FlexTecs audit team to deliver high-quality, value-driven audit deliverables that exceed client expectations.
  • Analyze supplier contracts to develop comprehensive risk assessments, prioritizing potential overbilling risks and compliance vulnerabilities using standardized methodologies.
  • Proactively identify and gather all relevant data, documents, and records to evaluate supplier billing justifications, ensuring completeness and accuracy for audit testing.
  • Conduct substantive testing to quantify billing errors, supported by detailed, evidence-based documentation of findings and their financial impact.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize multiple concurrent audits across diverse clients, consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding performance expectations.
  • Define and optimize roles and responsibilities for offshore audit resources, enhancing project efficiency and global team collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and suppliers, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the audit engagement lifecycle.
  • Mentor and develop onshore and offshore audit team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to FlexTecs’ audit standards.
  • Oversee rigorous quality control processes to ensure all client deliverables are clear, concise, accurate, and aligned with FlexTecs’ high standards.
  • Drive timely project completion by managing the full audit lifecycle, anticipating milestones, and proactively resolving obstacles to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Support the recruitment, evaluation, and onboarding of new audit team members, ensuring alignment with FlexTecs’ culture and performance standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FlexTecs’ contract compliance standards, practices, and services, reinforcing our position as an industry-leading audit firm.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing recovery audits
  • Strong understanding of UK retail audit practices and GSCOP
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and data interpretation
  • UK-based, comfortable working remotely with occasional travel

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Applicable Certifications: CPA, CFE, CIA are preferred
